In case anyone is interested...
CANopener is the device that plugs in, in between the radio and the oem harness, to allow the radio and camera operations to work when driving that are normally locked out.
I emailed them and asked if they would be offering this for the new SYNC4, this was their reply: "Curtis-
According to the data we have from Ford, we expect the existing unit we sell for the 21' will work on the 22'. Until we get a truck to test, we will not know for sure.

i was unaware of 4dtech products until this, thanks for that.
i was aware of naviks, and nav_tv for cameras in motion.
i have a nav tv cod 53 in my 19 ccsb sync 3
i havent kept up with the changes between sync 3 and 4
Their site says it unlocks the forward cameras, does anyone know if it works on the rear ones if you order the 360 kit, which I have on my SD?
Your truck only has the back up camera?
I doubt you would want the 360 version, but maybe the 2/3 camera version.
Call them or email them and ask, they answer quickly.

The NAVIKS deal looks even better but it doesn't say if it unlocks the cameras for the 2020 and later or the 2022 with SYNC4 and 12" screen.
I have emailed them to find out.
It does allow you to add a video source like DVD or screen mirroring with an extra interface for your phone, so you can watch movies on the screen.

I noticed that too, it would be odd if it only enabled forward cameras in motion. Probably just lacking all the details in their description but definitely needs clarification.
Something to keep in mind is that the various kits might operate differently, using different buttons to operate certain views. Something to consider when deciding on which brand to go with.
$170 -300 and the product page says that it's only for 19 - 21 foot long trucks and the OP says that 22 foot trucks are also compatible. I'm surprised that the compatibility is dependent on the length of the truck.

I just made the assumption that OP was referring to the MY but it does make more sense that he was referring to the length of the truck. We are lucky to have you here for these helpful insights!
on the nav tv cod 53 it allows 3 additional inputs, i am only using 1 of them abd switching by a upfitter switch.
from what ive seen, they all have a capture device with inputs (if offered) that mounts behind the APIM
what is normal behavior ive seen on my nav tv while using navigation is a lag between the navigation if you are using a camera view that is tied to gps position. just dont display view for a bit before your turn, is all.
with 3rd party navigation non issue,
system basicially tricks truck gps speed monitor.
now i DO like the camera views from the mirrors when the turn signal is on.
as far as phone calls, well you cant place any when turn signals on ive noticed.
otherwise im happy with it. now if you are planning on upgrading cameras as far as auxilliary, they are not all created equal.
the more ir lighting givws better picture at night.
the oem cameras work well in day, but grainy at night due to this. especially mirror mounted ones
how each one or brand works with sync3 vs sync4 i dont know. that would be something to check as well as diffrences between forescan database bwtween 2019 and newer modes relative to APIM.

Well, the "OP" was me, and I said nothing of the sort.
I did quote what the guy from 4tech emailed me, so if you want to get technical with the misplaced punctuation, tell him.
And, no idea what you refer to as being $1000.
