Picked up a pair of 79 f150 4x4.
Truck 1= solid frame, minor body issues, 4 speed, 4x4,non running 300 6 cylinder.
Truck 2 solid body rotted frame, 4x4, running, driving 351m,automatic.
Question is would the 351m bolt up to the 4 speed?
Haven't pulled them yet to check the housings.
Got them cheap, was hoping to put together a solid running truck between the two
You can bolt your 351M up to that T18 or NP435, but you'll need a big block bellhousing. They're not hard to find. Oh, you'll need a mid-plate for manual transmission also. They're cheap
The 6 still turns by hand, has no compression in 2 cylinders and has a river of dried oil coming from the front drivers side of the head.
Going to pull the head this weekend and see if I can get lucky and it need a head gasket to run.
If not I'll be looking for a bell housing
