I can confirm that Ford also made a F100 Trailer Special and will happily accept bets saying otherwise
and those that were designated Trailer Specials I believe had 8 lug nuts and dual piston calipers . My brother has one. I didn't believe it until I saw it with my own eyes.

The one I owned was 5 lug, Ford 9inch in the rear.
I think some are confusing Trailer Special with Camper Special?
F150 Trailer specials are real , Im only trying to find out if mine is one or not?
Its got the things the ad posted by 77&79F250 posted.

Again I ask you, Does your truck have eight lug nuts per wheel or five?
Lol someone put 3/4 ton axles under a F150 it didnt come from factory that way.
and the link in your answer talks about 7 lug trucks in 2000.
We are talking about 1978 not 2000.

yaya but neither of those things were what we were talking about.
Maybe read the whole thread and it will give you a bit of insite into the original subject.
I am by no means a "Trailer Special" expert but I did acquire a truck from out West last year that has a Trailer Special badge on the tailgate. This truck appears to be pretty original and I can only find 3 things that I believe were included on this truck that is part of the Trailer Special option
1- The badge on the tailgate
2- A factory wiring harness for trailer lights that Ive never seen on any of my other Dentsides Ive had over the years
3- Big Tow mirrors ( although I have seen these mirrors on other trucks not badged "Trailer Special"
The truck is a 1979 F-250 2wd XLT Ranger w/ 460/C6. The truck has bed tie downs and the side tool box in the passenger side bed. The truck had a brake controller in it but it was an aftermarket unit.
The odd thing is it did not have a hitch on the truck frame. Just a ball mount hole in the bumper. Also I can not find any holes in the frame where a hitch was previously mounted.
Here’s the Marti for my (old) F100 Trailer Special. It was a 5 lug truck. Ford did in fact build 8-lug half ton trucks. Search “F-130” on the forum, a few have popped up. There is no factory literature regarding these trucks.
