I saw a couple threads on this, but didn't quite get the answer I am looking for.
Finally getting to replacing the crusty window sweeps on my F150. I bought a set from Steele, who I have used for years. They look good, but are not quite right. The outer passenger is a bit off and the clips that hold the inner one to the door panel are not holding very well at all. Tempted to just rivet the things on there, but wonder if there isn't a better product out there. Once again, what appears to be a straightforward job is presenting problems that just should not be.
References to Precision Rubber led me to their site and they offer the full set of 4 for a bit over $80. Haven't used them before and am looking for anyone who has installed this product on their truck to see what their experience is.
So, anyone out there who has replaced their window sweeps on an early 90s truck? What did you use and how did it go?
A few years ago had the same problem with the belt moldings I bought from Bronco Graveyard. The curve at the back on the inners and the outers weren’t quite right. The ones I got from LMC were a lot better. I am not sure who the manufacturers were back then.
More recently I bought belt moldings and other window rubber from Bronco Graveyard for my Bronco II which were from Precision Very nice parts.
