Ranch Hand pic request

I’m installing a Ranch Hand Legend grille guard on my 2020 F250 but think I have the wrong set of bolts. If someone has one installed, would they mind posting a picture of the bottom brackets and how they connect to the front guard brackets through the tow hooks?

Mine currently don’t go through the existing spacer and if I remove it, there is a big gap. Just trying to see if that’s normal. Thanks.

Help please

I’ve called a dozen off road shops around here and no one seems to have answer to this. Trying to avoid ordering a whole new bolt and bracket pack if possible. Thanks.

When I installed my full bumper, I had to reuse the tow hook bolts. The ones supplied by Ranch Hand would only come up about half way into the top bolt so I was only getting a few threads of grip. Ran the original ones in there and they reach all the way through. Not sure if that is your issue or not. Post a pick if you can.

Thanks for responding. The silver bracket is the spacer that my 1/2” bolts won’t thread through. In the picture is the stock bolts not feeding through the ranch hand bracket to secure it to the guard.

If I remove the silver bracket for the 1/2” bolts there’s a large gap between the two brackets.

I'll see if I can get a couple photos tonight after work. Not sure if my 2019 is the same as yours but I think they are.

So you
1. take off your prius catchers, if you have them.
2. Cut the holes in the valance.
3. Remove the plastic insert that is around the tow hooks and remove the two-outside factory 18mm bumper bolts from each side.
4. Install the bottom mounting brackets. Line the top hole of the bracket over the top hole of the bumper. Reuse some of the bolts and nuts from step #1
5. Cut a slot into the plastic bumper cover.
6. Slide the plastic insert over the legs of the grille guard. Set grille guard in place then use 2 1⁄4” bolts to install.
7. Center the grille guard from side to side and make sure grille guard is level. Tighten the four 1⁄2” bolts. On 2020 models clip plastic insert into bumper.
8. Make sure the holes of the bottom bracket are in line with the strap holes. You may have to bend the strap to make it fit.
9. Use 1⁄2” bolts to mount the straps of the grille guard to the bottom brackets.

So is the issue at step #4 or step #9?

Thank you for responding. The issue is actually on Step 6&7 The 1/2” bolts won’t feed through the silver bracket so it would have to be removed. I can install it without the bracket but the space doesn’t look right from a structural standpoint.

here's what mine looks like
First picture is the area behind the tow hooks

Second picture is the area next to the tow hooks where you use the new bolts supplied with the guard

Here is a picture of the lower brace

The bracket you're trying to fit over the tow hook bolts does not belong in the spot from what I can see.

THANK YOU! That’s exactly what I needed to see. Looks like all I need to do is loosen the lower bracket bolts, remove the silver bracket, and angle the lower brackets towards the front of the truck. I really appreciate the detailed pics!
