Need help with trans lines

Ordered from LMCTruck. They sent these lines with I’m pretty sure a nut with a 5/16th thread. How can I get these lines to go into my radiator? They go perfect into my trans case but not my radiator. Been looking for an adapter or something.

You need an flare fitting. I am assuming the threads in the radiator are pipe threads. You need to figure out if they are 1/4 pipe threads or 3/8 pipe threads. I am guessing one or the other from the picture. So you need a fitting like the picture below with male pipe threads on one end, and a inverted flare to accept your 5/16 line and nut.

I like to use a short pipe of each size to see what fits the radiator side.
Then you can take it with you to get the right fitting.

Looking at my 86 with a 302 V8, I'm thinking the thread pitch is 1/4" NPT male adaptor is what you need.

5/16 NPT is not a normal size.

1/4"
3/8"
1/2" NPT is normal.

I replaced my radiator a few years back. the trans lines are what came on my truck.

Sorry, what you need is what is shown in post #2, I now figured out the second picture you posted...is the radiator with the adaptor missing.

Most any hardware store will have what you need. in the Plumbing section

The auto parts store may have them too.

If you need fittings, The Parker Store will have them. That's who we used at the place I worked.

The autoparts store may have it also. How did you get in this predicament? What did it have before? You don't have any type of old fitting?
