Could this be a revival? (Looks a wee bit too small to me)
Just found this looking for other things online. Maybe a new X prototype or an Expe on steroids. Looks interesting whatever it is.
(Don't think this is copyright voodoo since it is straight off a search engine and readily available. It's also free advertising..but bury it if need be)

That is a Hennessey Raptor i believe, has nothing to do with the excursion. That website is bogus.
That being said, i have seen hints that ford might be toying with the issue of making another excursion in 2022 or so.
The only thing you can count on is that the name will be used in some fashion. Kind of like putting the Maverick name on a compact pickup. My firm belief is that the Expedition is the largest thing they will build going forward. I also think its a matter of time before Ford calls GM and they talk about getting rid of the big wagons...Expedition and Tahoe/Suburban.
So, as much as I'd like to see them make another EX, I dont think it will happen. As well, Im sure it would be a V6 with a battery if they did do something.
Really, what they should do is like before, use a modified 250 chassis and it should have a Godzilla motor in it. Since when has Ford done the right thing? Especially in todays F'ed up world.... I could write a novel about their bad (horrible) decisions, it would be titled "Train Station". lol
You’re optimistic. I figured a quad turbo 4 cylinder(a turbo per cylinder) with 450 hp that sounded like a mosquito on steroids and had a 6 month 250 mile warranty
I was curious what it was as it had F-150/Expy written all over it
Monster engine-oh I wish! That might be worth a 2nd mortgage on the house to get-after the 3rd or 4th model year of course
Instead we try to reinvent the greatness of years gone by. When u could have a vehicle that said “testosterone” all over it instead of the Sierra club, Elon Musk, Global warming and warm and fuzzy politics **No offense ladies about testosterone. It’s just that whatever is missing from the 2nd X chromosome to create the Y chromosome must have been the practical insightful part versus the “wife beater t shirt ,trucker hat ,give me more horsepower not because I need it but because I want it” mentality we men often exhibit**
Well, I think its within the realm of possibility to see a diesel option and possibly a hybrid/electric version some day, i also home its built off the F250/F350 platform. Hydrogen is also an option however i dont see it anytime soon, no one ever bothered to build hydrogen supply chains here like they did in europe, so the quick flash in the pan 10 years ago when MFGs were talking about hydrogen cars evaporated quickly. IF they do build a Hybrid version, it would be within possibilty to swap it to anything we would want down the line.
I think if Ford ever did bring the Excursion back, they would completely butcher the idea of it and instead of it being this badass awesome huge SUV, it will be half the size and all electric.

Like the Jeep Not-So-Grand Wagoneer? Thought that was supposed to get a Cummins...nope hybrid.
Been waiting a long time to bring it back! But as mentioned by some above it will probably be just the name on a smaller vehicle.
I go to lake Havasu a lot and it is truly Excursion world! Lots of older Excursions there that people keep in great shape to pull and launch their boats!
