RBP vs Amp Research power steps

I’m looking into a set of power running boards for my truck. I’ve come down to either a set of Amp research steps of RBP steps.
Has anyone installed a set of RBP steps that can compare them against a set of AMP’s? They both have pros to them so I’m trying to weigh the options. The RBP steps have a motor on both arms vs just 1 motor on the amp steps. The RBP steps also don’t require the OBD connection under the dash which I’m already using for my CTS3. The biggest concern to me is that there isn’t much feedback on the RBP steps vs the reviews I’ve seen about the AMP steps. I live in NY so they are going to be exposed to the salt and snow in the winter. Any feedback is appreciated whether it’s positive or negative.

I wouldn’t be surprised if these are nothing but rebranded AMP steps with some slight design changes to differentiate the two. Kind of like tonneau covers.

AMP would never say this is the case because they’re making money regardless.
Unless something has changed, AMP also offers a hard wired version of their steps as well as an OBD option.

AMP also offers a dual motor version of their steps. Don't know why you would need it but they have it. Mine are the single motor version and they work awesome.

As far as the OBDII port, you can use one of these: OBDII Splitter

I was looking at the dual motor version mainly for the longevity of dealing with the NY winters. I knew about the splitter as an option it just adds another 75$ to the total cost. The RBP boards are on back order until at least January of 2022 so it looks like I’m going to have to bite the bullet and get the AMP’s
