Frame Swap
I just bought a 62 uinbody short bed and I'm wondering if there is anybody out there that has tried to swap the frame with a newer truck. I'm wanting to build a restomod. A previous owner tried to put a new front end under it and welded it in and it looks like it is to far back the front wheels are not centered in the front wheel well. What I would like to know is what the length of the original wheel base was and if anyone can tell me what frame will fit with the least amount of modification. I have no idea what the existing front end is out of.

thanks for the info. my truck measures 110" from the center of the rear wheel to the center of the front. I can't seem to get any pictures loaded. but as soon as i figure it out I'll post one of the front end. actually I will post ones of the whole truck. I've been looking for one of these for years but there like the 1st gen Broncos and rusted way to bad for my budget. this truck has very little rust BUT i haven't got the paint off yet. The only rust I've found is the front body mounts and the floor board above the mount on the passenger side.
