Chimes when keys out ignition.

My 06 f350 chimes all the time if the drivers door is open, with or without the key in the ignition.. If I wiggle the ignition some times it will stop with no key in it. I was told a lot of Super Duty's do this. How can I stop it?

Yes, my 2002 F 250 does it too. Solution: take a hammer and go to town......kidding of course. Maybe check the ignition tumbler, or get a new one and have it keyed to your current key.

So I found the answer...there is a wire under the key tumbler...I disconnected mine when swapping out the steering column bushings and no more chime.

I could fix it... probably a new ignition module...but one wire disconnected and taped off and done.
