Birchboy - I have a 10# CO2 tank from my Jeepin days. I usually used the ARB unless weather forced a rapid refill.
i have had spods, and S-tech in other vehicles. I like the small footprint and features of the Switxhpros. Got to pay to play
Looks great. Do you think there is space above the spare for the twin ARB?
Height to the bed you should be fine. The tire hoist sits in the middle but you have plenty of room to work with a few custom brackets.
just keep in mind that a arb twin under full load pulls almost 70A. Its avg is about 58A. 70A draw at that distance is probably 2gauge. Just something to leep in mind. Unless you’re filling 37s from 6 psi Id say a 2.5g tank and a arb single would accomplish your goals.
Nice work. The install looks very clean, I can tell you took your time and thought it through.
Do the ARBs have an internal pressure switch? Have you installed anything to monitor tank pressure or are you just running the compressor until you think the tank is full?
Deveroutdoors - the ARB twin has an internal pressure switch. The ARB single that I used has an external pressure switch 70/100 psi Td into the tank leader hose. No monitoring of the tank. If master switch is on compressor decides when to run based on pressure. Tank is rated for 150psi with a 150psi blow off valve.
Squirell, I’m assuming you haven’t had a chance to get some measurements on your drop hitch yet. Just a friendly reminder 😀. I gots to know. Lol
i forgot to post them 🙁 this is the Bulletproof 3” shank HD 8” drop/rise. Distance to ground isnt a factor as I could raise hitch using the air bags. I decided to exchange it for the 6” as that will get me the 30-32 height for the RV
The 8” just clears the tailgate but too close for comfort another reason for the 6”. Now with the 6” and WD adapter and Equalizer it will still touch the black plastic teim but I am going to add a foam guard or something
Thank you Squirrel, exactly what I was looking for. I have an F350 dually on order and I’m wondering what the height is from the receiver to the ground but I’ve always been thinking the 6” should be enough. The 29TRX is likely the same height or maybe higher than yours due to the wider/thicker toy hauler frame. Pretty sure I read they sit around 35” so I may need the 8” drop/rise.
Silver Plate - this should be done at the factory any day now. 2022 Outdors RV 260 RLS Titanium
You'll love the Outdoors RV. I have a 2019 250RKS and it's been great. Heavy for a bumper pull but extremely well built.
For what it's worth, when my trailer sits level, the top of the coupler is about 27" off the ground, so my ball is set at about 29" from the ground on my WDH.
Chief1232 - is yours a titanium? I think the Titanium adds 16” tires raising up an inch more
Mine is the Mountain Series. Still has the same 16" tires and the Extra Heavy Duty Off-Road Package that the Titanium has. Only Difference is the exterior color and Interior trim is a little different.
Mine is a 19 also, so it might be a little different in height, but it'll give you a starting point for when you pick it up!

Thanks that isn't something I had taken into consideration.

Have you had any issues with the pins bending on the WD adapter? That is the reason I went with my 6" Bulletproof but have since seen others complain about bent pins.

I contemplated between the 6" and 8" and ultimately decided on the 6". On my lowest trailer (16' utility for the rzr) the front is 18.5" off the ground and rear 17" so it is 1.5" off from being perfectly level. I thought it was pretty level by the eye so I had to pull out the tape measure. My ground clearance is 11 5/8" from the bottom of the ball on the hitch on the 6".
With the 8" I think I would have worried more about dragging it on the ground much more often. Even at the driveway of one of the cabins we regular my 6" will hit the ground if I don't hit the angle right. But this wouldn't really be a worry if you are mostly on flat pavement.
