That is a good sign. Usually that means the car has been spotted for unloading.

Then the sticker changed to 12/19 and I don't really know why. Next notice that I got was that it had arrived at the dealer on 12/20. But in talking to the sales manager, it hadn't been there when he left work on 12/20. He figured it came after business hours. I picked it up the afternoon of 12/21. I know that the truck had to have left Kentucky before 12/19 because it sure was not getting to the NY/Canada border in a day via rail and then a transport truck for the last leg.

the date really has no significance to the progress of the vehicle.

Most likely or at the very least in the process of being unloaded. Generally they’ll unload 10+ cars at a time depending on how large the facility is.

Once the car shows “empty” or departed for somewhere else you’ll know for sure.

My shipping question, as after over 5 months I have moved to the Shipping Stage. This is really for the folks West of the Mississippi. All railcar movement is done via CSX from KTP. When the railcar is handed over to Union Pacific, do you track the car using CSX or UP? My truck left KTP went up to N. Baltimore OH and last heard it was heading towards Illinois and I assume the switch over will be S. Chicago.

I'd say that 2 dates were significant. The invoice date because that put the truck ahead of a scheduled price increase. Also the other date change was the day of the actual build.
The rest really didn't mean anything as it turned out.

Excuse my ignorance but what does all this mean? I’ve heard of commodity issues such as spray in liner, 5th wheel package, adaptive steering, etc. This is the first I’m seeing things like power moonroof, 6.2L, 6.7L, etc

Commodities are parts or components used to build a vehicle. If you ordered a truck and one of the parts is listed on the commodities sheet with a low percentage build will be delayed due to difficulty in getting that part. 100%, good 0% Bad.
