oil temps
Any body else notice higher oil temps with 5w40 syth. , just switched back to 15w40 for a couple oil changes and thought i had some oil cooler clogging going on ,but the temps dropped back to normal with the heavier oil. Don't know if it cleared it's self or it was a flaw with the sensor, I know the temps were jumping around a few days ago.

eot 230 at hwy speeds with 5w40 and 15w 40 the temps are right with ect 192 -195 , both cooled down to normal within ten minutes or so, dont know if something was blocking the passage or not, things have been running ok lately

If you are running 230 EOT at highway speeds with a 192-195 ECT your oil cooler is most definitely plugged. Get the system flushed and a new oil cooler installed ASAP! With that high of EOT you're starting to risk long term damage to the engine.
