I am considering replacing bed as prior owners and salt have taken their toll on this one. My question today, I have located a replacement bed but panel on one side is damaged and a different color. My current bed - panels on both sides of bed are fine but underside and supports are junk. So, how difficult would it be for me to remove my current side panels and attach to the replacement bed, obviously remove those, 1 damaged, one different color ? This one also 2001 Quad Cab. Thks

Would you care to share a link to the video. I am in the opposite position as you are, my bed is still in good shape the sides are rusted badly. Still doing research on the best way to address the fix. Thought about building a flat bed, or cut out and weld in metal, either way is still possible but don't know yet. Looks like a "rust free" bed can be had around a grand, maybe a little less that is starting to sound reasonable also. Jim.

You may be talking about a different year, as the 2001 to 2003 that i am referencing has fiberglass sides. But since you asked you can see it :
