Replaced my headlight assemblies and accidentally broke a corner bulb. This is the square clear light next to the headlight.
The bulb that broke, and that is in the other side, are amber bulbs.
When looking it up online, I tend to see clear bulbs as the replacement part for this.
Should this be an amber bulb or a clear bulb?
it’s a reflector that is clear yes, but the one you speak of is probably the corner turn signal below it. There is two bulbs on the bottom one in front facing one in corner. My truck has a broken wire to the bottom corner so it’s obvious by my pic
Side markers have to be lit when the parking or headlamps(this all three come on(4 literal)) Ford chooses to have a side marker that stays lit and uses a turn signal that is side visible. Gm is a lot more into the use a side marker with the turns and my park avenue is a perfect example of that where the turn is visible front abd side all along it but the rear is a 194 that is polarity switched and does switchback with the front kinda cool Anyway you have a amber turn signal plastic most like
so Long story short your 194 side marker should be amber your turn signal corner should be clear halogen or amber LED. Amber halogen is possible it’s just kinda a waste of the light lost to the filter. Not dangerous tho. A clear one like mine or the factory lightning should be amber period
note, you want to use an amber led not a warm or cool LED. The color accuracy of the lamp is weird when it goes through color and doesn’t match the intent usually. Like pink tail lights from white led in red housing
I reposted them turned proper so it’s more easy to see
Couldn’t figure out the first one without messing up my post lol

It's the light labeled #2 in your picture. Looks like 194 amber is it. Thanks.
no problem. I think if you have a clear 194 it has a slightly amber hue from the reflector built into the plastic but I think ultimately the oe intent was a amber colored bulb so that the reflector then was amber and it looks clear in the day.
But it would be a ticket offense if you had a clear because ultimately the fed NHTSA says no white lighting for side marker or turn signals only amber and red and only red in the rear for both but turn in the rear can also be amber and is much safer.
Don’t ask my opinion on red turns in the rear or I will be very passionate and wordy, more than already lol

yes the stock lense took clear bulbs cuz whatever needed to amber that lense was colored amber so a clear bulb goes in there and the clear corner lense is also clear on the stock lense. I went through this on my 96. All bulbs referenced clear cuz again the lense that needed to be amber is already amber and putting a amber bulb in a amber housing makes no sense. Now with all this said if your replacement lense are all clear then what ever lenses need to be amber you will need amber bulbs. But yes oem bulbs with amber lenses the bulbs where all clear.
