Hello,
I'm looking to purchase a used F150, but need the trailer package that Ford offered because my boat and trailer weight 6K lbs. Does the Ford VIN number detail if that specific truck has the trailer package?

Yes the vin# will provide that info.

If you're just perusing vehicles on the used car lots, and you have a lot of candidates in mind, then you wouldn't want to spend $8 on each and every one.
