Trailer registration
Anyone tried to register a trailer lately?
I bought a trailer from an individual in Louisiana and I just have the Bill of Sale. I called to the tax office and they asked about a VIN. I doubt this thing has a VIN; it looks homemade.
Has anyone attempted this? I'm worried that it is going to take half a dozen trips down there for them to figure this out.

Was it tagged in Louisiana? I took the last tag receipt from previous owner and bill of sale and had no problem getting a new plate. I assume the laws are the same statewide. Hope this helps, Steve
