Pulled the orifice tube out it was pretty dirty. I will be changing condensor tomorrow. The guy helping me wiped most of the crud off but here is what it looked like. And yes I may have not used the correct thermometer to take my readings, that is why I turned to this group for help and education. this
It's a good idea to replace it but that wasn't your issue. You had good pressures on the gauges you pictured. If this would have been a issue those pressures would have been out of wack. Save your money as the condenser isn't the issue either.
You say you have a guy that can charge the system, have him recapture the freon and reinstall using a set of scales to make sure the charge is correct. If he doesn't have scales or a way to measure the freon charge then find another buddy that does.
That makes zero sense. Sure you don't have those backwards?
the system us currently empty. If when I recharge it and it is still not cooling I will check again. To verify, the line with the orifice tube is the inlet to the evaporator correct?
Look for the label that tells you how much freon the system holds. Then check the can for the amount it has. Get as close to the amount the label says. Don't overfill, that's the number one thing people do and that's when they call me because it still doesn't cool. If you are filling from a large bottle then use refrigerant scales. Either way I stress is don't overfill.
How much was the Condenser? Was it Ford OEM or other. I am having the same issues as you and want to have my system evacuated so I can change the Condenser (in front of Radiator) and change the orifice tube. I think I want to change out the Accumulator/Dryer as well. I know the Evaporator is Original so I don't mind changing that too. It's a 2002 F 250 5.4L, CCLB XLT with 216,000 miles.

I bought the condensor at napa and it was around $110 bucks, was not oem.
