Hello all,
I have a 2019 F350 Dually with 43k on it. I am getting a thumping feeling in the pedals and steering wheel when driving. More pronounced at slower speeds and rougher roads.
Had it into the dealer and they changed the draglink bushing and steering dampener. I recently had it into a suspension guy that put on new Fox 2.0 shocks and steering stabilizer. He looked at it and said everything looks normal. I am thinking something in the steering components.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me crazy.
Thanks

Many of us on here have this same problem. On my truck it is more pronounced at slow speeds and in the summer. Mysteriously it sort of goes away in the winter. I think my issue is the adjustable pedals but haven't complained enough to attempt a swap. Might do that this fall. A quick search here and you will find the problem goes way back. Don't believe anyone truly solved their 'Pedal thump' either.
Ya its kind of odd, I played around with the adjustable foot pedals and steering wheel, I thought at first it helped, but really don't think it did.
Friend of mine does it on his 18 and he just lives with it.
Can I access that from under the hood or from under the truck.?
Yes, you should be able to.
IIRC, the adjustable pedals connect to a common bracket with the column base, so bumps and rattle are transmitted through the assembly.
I haven’t done it yet, but I’m fairly certain this will fix it for me. If you open the hood and reach down on the drivers side and grab the steering shaft and wiggle it, you can feel all the play in it.
Check the thread i posted, this was the fix for multiple people with our symptoms.
