Carryover allowance

I've seen a lot of good stuff on here about holdbacks etc... I'm looking at a "leftover" '03 Expedition. Dealer claims he's dying to unload it, $6000 off MSRP etc... (although I'm sure he's planning on keeping the rebate). Anyone have an idea of what the carryover allowance would be on a truck like this. I'm just trying to figure out how much wiggle room there really is. Thanks.

If you're referring to the extra 5% Ford USED to pay us on previous-model-year inventory, forget it. They did away with it several years ago. The difference now is in the retail incentives; $4,000 rebate on the '03 versus $1500 on the 2004, for example.

Thanks for the quick reply. Even at dealer cost, minus the 4k rebate, the vehicle winds up about $2500 more than I want to pay. Of couse it has about 3k worth of options on it that I really don't care about (leather, curtain air bags, etc...). But, I was still wondering if "we could get there from here" since it's an '03. Looks like it's a no-go, but I appreciate the insight.
