Both are American made. What say ye? The cold case uses two 1.25" tubes. The Champion uses two 1" tubes. I had a rad with with a 26" wide core like this with the 1" tubes, and it cooled very well.
They're hideous but they work. the modern plastic/aluminum replacements work too and they're cheaper and look better. but the copper replacements are the next best thing to a recore.
The only complaint I had with my Champion was the cap was pretty poor quality and failed within a year. The radiator itself is still going strong five years later.

The one I'm interested in says that it has American Eagle core. Does yours?
I bought the CC480 for my 77 F250 with the 460 engine and I haven't had any problems or complaints. Granted, I only drive my truck in the summer so it doesn't get much use, but it bolted to the truck and the shroud without any complications. I DID think I got a defective one because the bottom of mine will not get hot (lukewarm, sure) while driving it....only after I shut the truck off and let it sit for a bit. I guess it's just doing a really good job as I haven't had any overheating issues. It was just strange for me at first because I have never had a vehicle with a radiator that wasn't hot on the top AND the bottom during operation.
edit: I DO have a minor annoyance after all.....the drain tube on the filler neck is offset on my radiator. Meaning that it is not pointed completely to the left nor to the right side. Maybe that's how it supposed to be (seems to be excessive though), maybe I got a defect, either way it's in there now and it does the job.
My Champion 4 core has seen 108 degrees ambient temps in the valley so far this Summer. With a Taurus fan and the AC on, it has never gone above 195, and as I mentioned it looks like a piece of artwork compared to the 40 year old stock piece
The Champion I have was way better quality than the Chineseum one from ebay I put in the pickup I just sold. I would use another Champion without hesitation.

Didn't you just have a thread on this? I have a couple suggestions in the other thread (Here). Also not sure if you are serious about those being American made but they are definitely not. They are both imported Chinese radiators and the higher quality is the Champion. The stamped tank cold case uses epoxy to seal the core tubes.

I'm happy you had a great experience with your rad/fan set-up. However, I'm curious. I could be wrong, but the fan in the photo doesn't look like a Taurus fan. Taurus fans don't bolt to the shroud as yours does.

Hey Gashog. I may have jumped the gun when I said they were American made. I just assumed they were because both companies have US facilities. So, after digging around online, it looks as though the Champion brand is made in China. The American Eagle brand, which is also Champion, is made at their facility in Lake Elsinore, CA. That is interesting since the rads I was looking at said Am. eagle core. That's not confusing. Well, anyway, word on other forums is that people like the champion rads. I chose the one I linked to b/c of fitment and core thickness, and the size of the tubes. Thanks.
Oh, I mentioned that when I contacted Summit about two of their rads failing they said they'd send $50 to my paypal. Great. Big deal, right? Well, it never arrived.

Is it a Volvo fan, like the one below that can be unbolted from its shroud?
You are correct, I originally used a Spal fan that was so loud it was embarrassing. I purchased the Taurus fan, cut it out of its shroud and put it the shroud in the photo that I fabricated. Much much quieter and moves a ton of air. It will be 115 degrees today and I have no concerns of overheating.
I mention it in my build thread but couldn't find a photo. Snapped this pic this morning. Best $110 that I spent on my truck hands down.
