I dont know if there is already a thread out there for this if so let me know but when i am drive every few months or so the truck will start surging in rpm usually from around 1200 to 2000 when causal driving it never shows a code and haven't seen anything while running a log on it was wondering if anyone has had this issue 5.4 triton with 175,xxx. thanks
Before throwing parts at it, with the age and miles, it wouldn't hurt to do a fuel pressure check. If warranted, change the fuel filter. Check the plugs first for signs of need to replace them. Fuel pumps do wear out.
