I have been searching for help with the cruise control on my 1983 F100 302 Lariat. When they rebuilt the engine the CC was removed and im not sure how to reconnect.
Gdad,
It is best to start your own thread on the issue.
When you do we will need to know the year, model, motor and transmission,
also if you can get a few pictures of under the hood so we can see what all is missing and if you know what it is that is missing would also help.

Any leads you can share with me.

All they did was disconnect the cable to the carb? Or is there more?
First thanks to the admins for moving this question to the proper thread.
The truck is a 1983 F100 Lariat 302 automatic.
They rebuilt the engine, replaced the carb, and removed all the vacuum stuff.
You can see in the pictures where the old connection was (not the greatest pictures) and the new pictures where the chain is just sitting disconnected.
It doesn't look like a complicated fix but I cannot remember how it connects originally and cannot find a diagram or pictures to help.
I have followed threads for years on this site and find a lot of smart, knowledgeable folks so this is my first to try to find help with this need even though it is not a critical need!

Can you get a picture of the side of the carb so we can see what you have and maybe where that chain would hook to.
I want to say there should be a U shape part that the chain fits through and the open end would have holes to pass a pin through.
This U would fit on the throttle arm and the pin would go through and a cotter pin through it to hold it.
There would be a hole on the closed end of the U for the chain but never looked that close at them to know how it gets held to it?
Uh-oh. China strikes again. That looks like a replacement carb. You can see how your throttle cable is at a little bit of an angle now. The throttle lever on your new carb is not exactly like the old carb. Unless you want to fab something up, it's not going to connect up.
