Ok im new at this and im definately new at cars(this being my 2nd) so i might not be the best at describing my issues with the car not myself lol, anyways here we go. I have a 2001 ford expedition XLT 4.6L 166,000 miles on it. Car turns on no problems. When its in park or neutrel the motor sounds wonderful, no sputtering no shaking no weird sounds. But when i drop it into gear either drive or reverse it doesnt matter, it starts to make a sputtering sound. When moving from a complete stop the engine goes completely slow like as if it's not getting any gas to the motor so if you pump the gas several times it will start to go and go and then finally it just goes like it's supposed to. But when at a stop light if you want to turn left it doesn't want to turn like at all and if you're going on an uphill slant and you're stopped it it's definitely not moving from there someone said that it could be a fuel injector issue but I'm not quite sure so that's why I'm here
I would start by checking for codes, that may point you in the right direction. Remove and clean the IAC. For the steering, check your power steering fluid, belt, and pulley's. It could be plugs, cop's, injectors. Any idea how old the plugs are? Coils?

Check all the vacuum lines for cracks or soft spots, particularly the PCV hose where it goes into the throttle body.
There should be a test port on the fuel injector rail where you can connect a pressure tester - $24 at Harbor Freight.
How many miles on the plugs?
How many miles on the plug boots?
The coils should be fine, but inspect them for any cracks.
