Chirping like a Cricket

Been a while since I was here, but big red lives on! (Well at least the engine and tranny does!)

Truck usually sits for the winter, so I fired it up the other day and took it for a spin around the block. No problems until I drove it 20 miles this morning and it started chirping like a cricket from what sounds like the front drivers side. It got steadily louder!! The noise goes away when I hold a left bend or turn left. Haven't had a chance to really check it out yet. Doesn't chirp when sitting at idle, only when running with the tranny engaged or disengaged. I thought it might be the brake back plate. That would be the best scenario!
Can anyone shed any light from a similar experience?

I just ran into the same problem. My truck chirped when driving and sawing the steering wheel back and forth. Turned out to be loose bolts on the transmission cross member. Try torqueing those down and see if it goes away.

I might have thought that too but I'm getting no vibration through the steering wheel. I'll check it out though!

Found the problem. All the wheel nuts were loose. Strange since it was parked in the driveway all winter and the wheels haven't been off for a while!

I just want to add: I had a bothersome intermittent squeaking sound that I thought was coming from under the truck. It turned out to be a loose bolt holding the passenger seat to the floor. The seat mounting point was moving against the steel floor causing the squeak.
