I went with a mishimoto intercooler instead of the stage 3. This fixed my cooling issue with the trans. My old intercooler was full of coolant in areas there should not have been any when I removed it. I’ve put about 1500 miles on it and no complaints so far. It performs well, I build boost quicker than before and have had about 1mpg gain. I’m still waiting on the spe piping kit so we’ll see how that does. Thanks for all the input!
Sweet. What made you decide to go with the Mishimoto instead of the AFE CAC?

To be honest, availability. I ordered the afe and got an email saying it would be 10-12 weeks before it shipped. So I called mishimoto and they said it would ship the next day so that’s what I went went with. It had gotten to the point where it was leaking bad enough that it was blowing white smoke so I parked it and the mishimoto was the fastest way to get it back on the road. I’m very pleased with it though!

They both add about the same amount of flow and hence power, but Mishimoto goes the extra yard I think because I like that they write articles on the new products that they are developing. I wanted an AFE because it was a little cheaper, but I know I couldn't lose with the Mishi intercooler either.
