Just brought home a new to me 2001 excursion in pretty good shape. Body is straight, and everything is there. Has the typical rocker rot and torn seat, but those will be fixed in time. Only immediate need is new connectors for the coils since these are all broken from the last owner.
Now I'm looking for a 7.3 donor vehicle to swap into it.
Nice! Are those aftermarket mirrors, or later year ford? I was happy with my stock tow mirrors until I picked up a TT last month and realized more mirror would be nice.

‘08 tow mirrors. Various vendors and brands. I got mine from 1AAuto.
They were on there when I bought it but I replaced them on my last excursion with mirrors from a 2008. They are the factory style tow mirrors for the 2008-16 super duties
Already ordering parts lol. Got new steering components coming to tighten it up a little bit (all moog). Was getting ready to order shocks when I noticed that there is a half assed leveling kit on it and the block is turned. Since I would have had to order new u bolts anyways, I figured it was the perfect opportunity to order a lift kit lol.
I don't have any firsthand experience but I've heard that the moog ball joints, if those are on your list, have issues that cause memory steer on these rigs.
I have ordered a bunch of parts. Now just waiting for the brown truck to bring them! Ordered:
replacement pigtails for the coil wiring harness connectors to replace all the broken ones
new boots for the coils denso 671000
2 new coils to keep on hand for emergencies denso 6736000
new motorcraft plugs sp479
Moog tie rods and adjusters to replace all of the steering components
superlift 5 inch lift kit with bilstein shocks and replacement steering stabilizer (oem)
2 new spring hangers for the front since some idiot hit something and bent the crash bar/mounting brackets
and cab marker lights.
Just waiting for everything to come in so I can take a few days off work to knock it out. Should ride and handle like a brand new vehicle after all of this. Just have to get a new buckle for the drivers seat ordered if I can find one. My buckle undoes itself sometimes.
