Front Brake Hose Conundrum

Hi, I have a brake hose interference problem.

My truck is a 65 that has a mix of parts - the brakes are the 3" HD from '72, I don't know about the spindles.

I want to replace my 25 year old front brake hoses, but the fitting on the wheel cylinder end is too short on all replacements I have tried. The new ones all interfere with the spindles. I have dremeled a little off the spindle to permit threading them on, but I still have issues with tightening with the hex portion. Photos below.

Anybody else have/solve this issue? Any idea what hose I might need?

I can't help with an OTS hose p/n, However, I'd suggest looking to find a local custom hose fabricator. I'm not sure how common they are, but I have one in my town (Mesa Hose and Adaptors INC). I was having trouble finding an OTS replacement as well - instead, this guy custom built all new flex lines for my brakes. I brought the old ones in, and he made new ones to match. Pretty easy stuff - one was incorrect, and he quickly fabbed up a new one while I waited. The newest type brake hose material has a smaller OD on the hose than the old style rubber, and allows smaller fittings. The guy also said they balloon less, so offer better braking.
My guess is a hose fabricator can work around your geometry constraints. Here's a pic with one of my hoses of this smaller material.

Foregoing custom hoses, I have had good luck putting the hose on the wheel cylinders before installing the cylinders to the backing plate. You can then get a flare nut wrench on them and get them tight with no obstructions. Just be careful when tightening the bolts for the cylinders so you don't break the hose.
