I think I've heard this before but these pics seem to confirm the loss of use of the glove box with that AC kit.
So, with this kit, do you need the side panel vents anymore? Can they be sealed?
you do not need the side panel vents.. but i left them be...
in my application, classic didn't have it quite right.... 1 the crank pulley hit the crossmember and the low pressure was 20" too short. they sent another hose, well a 6ft section with 2 fittings in the box.. i had to crimp them on.. but the customer support is just ok. i am returning their pulley which they say fits ($260)
I put a Classic Air unit in a 1967 Camaro I have. Everything fit as it should. Also lost most of the glove box. As you stated the support was only so so. But it does work good and after a year has not lost its ability to cool. What kind of shifter as you using? Looks very good.
the shifter.. I know i was skeptical about using it.. when i bought the truck there was a bunch of parts.. the shifter was still new, but i don't remember what brand.... what was keeping me from using it was.. the shift indicator was on the shift ****.. but.. i went with the dakota dash.. with the shift indicator near the speedometer.. and got the "brain" for that as well.. so the mrs.. likes it.. its her truck... so she makes the decisions on most things...
I bought this truck in 2014... the frame/cab well the body work is all done.. the bed is at the media blaster.. it won't be long till she's all together.. i remember pulling 6" of body filler out of the cab corners.. and rockers.... its been a long road. and the older i get the harder it is to be motivated......
your truck is awesome.. rugged looking i dig the 4x4 thanks for the compliment.. you will see pics as it comes together.....i did add some pearl to the corinthian white and the green
I have a 1958, currently has the 3 speed on the column. I have been thinking about using my 1993 F250, w/ 460cu, as a donor vehicle. How much modification did you have to do to accommodate the floor shift?
well... it was kinda easy.. not so easy. i thought the easy way was to get a crossmember from lmc and all would be good.. not so.. i had to use some of the crossmember for the engine..and then cut some and weld some to accommodate things and get it centered.. and make sure the front to back measurements were correct. then had to make a trans crossmember.. are you keeping the truck a 3 speed.
My plan was to make the truck a floor shift. I need to do more research and figure out exactly what I want. Complicating matters just a bit, is that my 14 yr old son wants me to fix up the F250 so he can drive it. I will try to add photos of my F-100 later today.
