APIM Self-Healing or On The Way Out?

2019 F-350 running Sync 3 v 3.0 build 19205 (and maps NA 1 19).

Two weeks ago, it appeared as if my navigation was dead. For 10 days straight, if would only give me the endless loading maps indication. No amount of driving (up to 2 hours) and no amount of restarts would fix it. I did not do a master reset, though.

Then, I went on vacation. My truck sat in my garage for 7 days. Upon returning home, I started my truck and my navigation works fine. No reset. The battery didn't die or anything like that. Just sitting at home. It also was not connected to internet, so nothing was downloaded or updated.

Did my APIM just heal with some time off ... or is this the normal death routine where a navigation system begins cycles of working and not working?

Thanks.

Don't know for sure, but the Sync on my 2014 Fusion decided to intermittently work a while back. Every once in a while it would stop working.
While I had the car in for an oil change, I asked them about it. They said they would do a software update.....well, they bricked it. So they ended up replacing it. Works great still today.
I'd say its dying.
