The two forward springs dont do anything. They are connected to what is supposed to be the dash pot. Looks like someone switched you over to a straight throttle linkage. Thats what I did to mine. Where the dash pot is broke, they also bent the mounting bracket down. I would get rid of the two springs and re-bend the dash pot bracket. Get a new dash pot. You only need the return spring for the throttle linkage. Looks like your kick down is there for the tranny. I havent got around to it yet but the only other thing I will do to mine is make a new throttle linkage. I want about an inch or so of offset on it so it pulls straight back instead of so much angle. It should be 2100 motorcraft. Mine is autolite 2100. Also, cant see the choke pull off without pic of back of carb.

1962/71 Auto-Lite and 1972/74 Motorcraft 2100 series 2V's are the same carb. The only difference are the names. The carb kit and etc are the same for both.

1970/72's have a choke pull-off diaphragm located in the top of the air horn. It is a separate part, does not come in the carb kit.

D0AZ-9J549-C .. Choke Pull-Off Diaphragm (Motorcraft CM-1283) / Obsolete ~ 40+ available NOS & from auto parts stores.

The carb is a Motorcraft 2100 2bbl, the venturi size is on the driver side of the carb in a circle. As the truck looks like it has a 302 or 360 V8 motor the venturi size # in the circle might be a 1.08, 1.14 or 1.21. Check it out, good information to keep on hand.
