Review is not great. Not recommended in this forum. I tried LED bulb in the Lightning style headlight. It floods near field with much light. I thought it was great, drove around a while. Finally realized so much light in the near field actually blinds me for far vision. Worse than halogen. I tried a miniature projector. Better than halogen but not by much.
I need a real projector headlight with focused beam, slightly dispersed laterally. Where can I buy one? Is retrofitting the only way for now? Does anyone do the retrofitting and sell? Thank you.
At the age of these trucks there’s probably not a lot of options. Leds in a headlight assembly not designed for leds just blinds other people. you could try the link below but chances are you’ll be best served with the lightning style headlights and aiming them properly.
Thank you for the info. What I have now (1.5 in LED projector) is better than halogen in low beam though sucks in high beam. I ordered a set of regular size LED projectors. Now I will have to butcher the back of headlight housing.
Edit: An online headlight store sells them for $500 with bi-xenon bulbs. No mention of bulb brand.
