What’s funny is what I got out of all that was... you got a heck of a woman there sounds like . 😊
Yes I think so! Thanks. She loves it, we go to the local mud holes and to Perry FL Iron Horse. I built her a Samuri with a 22r squeezed in, toyota axles and tractor tires. She beats the hell out it.
Good story Florida Man!!! And agree, good woman there too.
I would definitely change fluid in the axles. The vents for transmission and t-case should be on the top, front of transmission, behind the bell housing. If floor pans were submerged, it’s definitely possible for water to get in there. I’d say go ahead and do a full transmission drain including torque converter and also change t-case fluid.
Thanks, lol. I figured I through the Florida Man in there to get it out of the way up front. Yes I love her - going on 35 yrs of marriage.
Starting to lean heavy that way for the tranny and TC.
What FTN mentioned or, install gliders on the runners
I have white 1x6 polyboards on V'd 2x10 wood boards, but now that you mentioned it the wood boards are warping from age.
Add it to my to do list, thanks!
Great story and even better signature line! I, too, was a Davey Allison fan. I stuck with RYR drivers until the Yates name stuck solely to engine building. Carl Edwards was my driver when I created my handle here, hence his nickname. Now, I love the old soul of Blaney.
I concur with the other guys on the above, good chance the original vent lines on trans and t-case are cracked at the bends and could have taken water..
Also might be worth checking the IDM for water intrusion, notably the connector? Maybe the pcm too?
Lets be real, not really on of my most proudest moments.
Leaning hard to doing the tranny and TC too.
My lift is a suspension lift.
I do not think my electronics got too wet due to angle of the truck, I think there is a box under the drivers seat. I didn't think to check that. Thanks for the advice.

Reason: "got"
Hahaha, "i crawled out nascar style"
Ive always wondered what happens when people do this at the boat ramp. Sounds like you will be fine. Crap better than fine, you got a boat!
Boat ramps are great. I keep my tritoon in a slip. But ive had my share of moments. But boat ramps always have good stuff to scuba and recover.
Not on a 4x4. The vent is routed up the firewall via a rubber hose. So it may not have been submerged.
I would still change the trans fluid.
I will trace that vent line out. Only the lower rear part of the engine and tranny were under water, TC yes.
I believe the consensus is to do them all, and I agree.

And I am a fat 6ft 240lb 60 year old man at that, now if something was picture worthy...
