While waiting on the F-250 in the sig, I pull a 30ft 8000# 5th wheel with a 5.4L F-150. I run load range E tires at 70 pounds on all axles truck and trailer. I tried 80 but the truck beat me to death and the trailer bounce at every bump.
When not towing i bring the tires down to 60 pounds.

i hate being the old codger that says "search:, but regarding tire pressure, it clearly has been covered numerous times, and everyone has varying opinions.
and yes, if you are towing, go by the door jamb pressures. easy peasy...
Door jamb sticker pressures for full GAWRs or consult the inflation tables for your tire manufacturer and adjust to your loaded axle weights from the truck scales.
Tire pressure threads are useless without proper information like tire size, truck, towing or running empty.
Even towing has it's descrepecy, whether it's a 5ver or bumper pull.
Door Jam may well be a good starting point but are we towing or running the wife to the mall ?
