Steering Rag Joints

I have installed a TCI Mustang II front suspension with power rack and pinion steering. Is it advisable to install a rag joint somewhere in the steering system or is it normally not needed? If needed, does it matter if it is installed either at the box input or at the end of the column? I might get away with only two steering shaft u-joints but not if I have to put a rag joint on the steering box.

Are you concerned about movement between the R&P and the cab? Or vibration?
I just installed mine with the jag it’s soft mount and used the jag Z joint. I would think that a rag joint is a step backwards

My initial thought was "Will I feel vibration in the steering wheel without one?" If the answer is "not likely", I'm good. I'm pretty sure now that I will be using three u-joints even without any rag joint.

OT - What diameter exhaust pipe are you using as you go next to your fuel tank? 2"?

On page 6 of the Borgeson Steering catalog linked here, there is a good explanation of vibration dampeners and how they work in steering components, along with options and information to help you decide what is best for your application.
