2016 Escape auto liftgate issue...
Recently, the liftgate would seize up and not open. Eventually I ended using the key FOB while standing at the liftgate and then would lift it by hand. I initially thought the driver/lifter was having issues.
Turns out the latch was sticking a bit and causing the liftgate to be confused and not raise.
A good dose of dry silicone spray lubricant and all is well and has been for numerous test runs.
Easy fix, so I thought I would share my experience.
