Hi I saw another thread on this but nothing sounds similar to whats going on with my truck. I have a 97 obs 7.3 and the ac blows while driving on normal ac but doesn't have any change in flow when I try and use a different speed and doesn't seem as cold and when I switch it to max ac it blows for 3 seconds or so then stops but there is no change in flow or anything. And ac doesn't even blow while in idle.
If anybody got any solutions that be great!
Thanks
Ty
Update: I tested the blower and everything and it tested as dead but in the way home from pheonix I hit a gnarly bump in the road bc phx roads aren't anything to talk about but kicked the qc on and now it blows in all speeds and everything works so far. No Idea what happened to it but ill update yall if it goes out thanks for the help!!

On the passenger side of the engine bay on the ac box there is a little white vacuum plastic hose, look and see if it is broken. That is where I would start.
Sounds like you have different issues if I understand what you wrote.
for the "no change in speed" could be a bad blower fan resistor.
For the " Max AC blows for 3 seconds and stops" could be that your AC system is over charged/undercharged you will need gauges to check high and low pressures. HF has some cheap ones.
or the blend door is nit operating correctly.
Sounds like a dead blower resistor. It should bypass it on high speed. Meaning only high speed works. BUT the connector could have corrosion. Buy some Deoxit and give it a douche and see if that gives all speeds.
Start eyeballing the vacuum lines by the blower fan. One member pointed out the recycle one, should have a white line. That always takes a **** and leaks in Max AC mode.
Regular AC and vent. Trace that black line out of the bundle back to the check valve and to the vacuum reservoir. Then back to the vacuum tree by the master cylinder. They usually have cracks too.
