My black plastic tailgate trim with Ford on it finally broke. Any ideas on how to do it cheap and not have to spend $500+ on it? Its a '95 with the black strip.
I saw a place a while back, I think it was MAC's auto parts or something like that, and they had just the black strip available without having to order the whole aluminum panel.
Mine cracked on my 95. Simple body work. Epoxy it together and on place. Use bondo or bondo glass filler. Sand, prime and paint. Painted mine Hammertone Black. Looks great and cost me less than $100. 2013 04 06 14.57.52
I can't say that I am a fan of those modern looking replacement panels. I hate the dented look. I'd rather have one that looks like it is from the same era.
