Reno Nevada for Work

Guys,

Work will have me in the Reno area next week from 5.24 to 5.27. Any F100 POINT of interests anyone know of? I saw one cruise on Wednesday 5.26 I will try to make.

Can't think of anything strictly F100-related in Reno.
The National Automobile Museum is probably worth checking out if you're into that sort of thing. They have around 200 vehicles.

Fatfenders I hope it nice. It beats sitting in a hotel room. I dont gamble, drink, or smoke so cars or nothing is my claim. There is a Summit Racing retail store 6 minutes away from the work site....

Summit is a fun place to visit for an hour or so, but that's it.
My vote is the automotive museum, then Summit Racing.

Burnett01,

Thanks my flight gets to RENO tomorrow at 11. I looked at Summit Racing website. I am not even sure they have "casual" browsing available in their retail store. I will have to call ahead and check their COVID guidelines. I also thought about riding into California. Maybe i will find a junkyard full of 53-56 Ford trucks that no one else knows about. Ha ha.

Donald,
I bought a nice 53 F100 just outside of Reno about 15 years ago...it was left along with a pile of nice parts in an old gold mining camp. New owners were Chevy guys and just wanted it off the property...got it all for a song. That's when I learned that a 53-56 F100 (with bumpers removed) would fit into the back of a 16 ft rental truck. Check Craigslist before you go...I'll be making a run to CA in a couple of months to pick up parts in San Diego, there might be room on the trip back.

I just came back from the Reno Summit, no restrictions and no mask for patrons. As far as car stuff not much goes on in these parts this time of year, weather is to unpredictable. Heck it has snowed/rained the last 3 days. Not necessarily a car thing but I highly recommend a visit to Virginia City. Great place and like stepping back in time.

Heck if you really need a car fix come to Truckee and you can work on any one of my many projects .

Charlie and Donald, if there have been some parts posting on occasion out in Fallon, 1 hr east of Reno, but nothing I need. Good luck and let me know if you need anything while in the area.
