Stall converter for a C6
I'm looking for a stall converter for the 385 base 545 stroker with a C6 in my IH. The motor and transmission are out of a 77 F250.. If I look for just one for a C6 I come up with two. but if I search for one for A 77 F250 and a 460 I get none available.
The ones that come up with just the C6 search have the right spline number and the right shaft size. But I'm not sure they'll bolt up to the flex.
Any Help would be appreciated. 3,000 stall, and truck is 4,500 Lbs.
Here's the one's that come up are on summit.

A few years ago I built a 528 cubic inch short block for a guy who bracket races. He put the rest of the engine together and put it in the car. After a few passes there was bearing material in the filter, thrust main was taking a beating. I fixed it and after a few passes it was doing it again. I told them that the engine was the victim yet they thought it was the problem because the backup 460 engine never had trouble. The customer got it back together and then we put it on my dyno where we did a bunch of pulls, found about 35 horsepower and ran the engine hard. No thrust problems. They just needed a better torque converter behind the larger engine and now it's been raced for years with no problems.
Yes I'm having a local shop build it .. and we talked for quite a while and he talked about adding gussets so it wouldn't have a balloning problem..
He took the cam spec's and the weight of the truck in to consideration and where I wanted to shift at.. we also talked about changing the gear ratio of my C6 due to the weight of the truck.. $400. for the gear set and about 3 hrs labor to install them so about $700oo as long as the rest of the transmission is good and about an aluminum pan to help hold the transmission together. .. and the converter is only going to be around $400.oo
Thanks Again

Back when my monster truck customer ran C6's his transmissions just had the standard aluminum C6 gears and some of them were even the ones with 3 pinions. A blown alcohol A460 headed 572 doesn't need a lot of help in the torque department but they would have been interesting to try.
