Fuel Pump fuse relocation
Took the advise of another member and did the fuel pump fuse kit even though mine wasn't burnt out yet. Not too hard of a job but the Ford instructions are a little sketchy. It tells you to strip the BU/RED wire but it doesn't say to cut it first. I also didn't use their method of twisting the wires together then soldering. I removed the insulation on a 14 gauge butt splice then crimped and soldered it. I noticed the only other 20 amp mini fuse is # 76 for the PCM. I guess it doesn't draw enough amperage to cause a problem. Others have said it's cheaper to buy a separate fuse holder but I only paid $27.25 for the OEM kit on Amazon. The instructions made it worthwhile to me. Before anyone asks, the kit # is EL3Z-14293-A

Your updated instruction link is much better. To find the correct wire I removed fuse #27 and put a pick through the hole and it came out next to the correct wire. I noticed 2 BU/RED wires in the same area but one was a smaller gauge than the other. The larger gauge wire is the one to use.
