Hey everyone I tried searching but literally there is SO MUCH info I couldn't quite sort out what was correct or not. I have a 1980 ranger f150 I got from my grandpa when he died and I'm trying to do a vintage 1980s build but with slight upgrades here and there. Now my question is it has the lock bar style brake master, I'm disk front drum rear 5 lug, is there a direct bolt in replacement that has a newer style cap like any modern truck so it's easier to bleed alone with a pressure bleeder? Not to mention it's starting to leak so I need to replace it soon anyways. Thanks everyone for the help
Welcome to FTE.
You can buy a pressure cap for bleeders that fit that master or make your own like I did.
I also made my own bleeder from PVC pipe and some fittings
Worked vary good on my truck.
Now to answer your question yes you can but I have not done it or want to but you may do a search here as I know guys on there have done it. Gary's Garagemahal (the Bullnose bible) - Bullnose Forum
I think there is something about adaptor fitting needed at the master and maybe lines switched?
