help with frost plug replacement

I have been leaking coolant from the left side of my engine (2003 7.3) for a while. Thought it was coming from the oil cooler, but after further inspection, I found that the cooler is perfectly dry and clean. The leak is coming from the frost plug located in the center of the drivers side of the block, right over the cross member/motor mount. I do not want to pull the engine to replace this frost plug. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting this done ?

If you unbolt the motor from the cross member and lift it as high as you can, removing the turbo can give you more room if you're will to go there. Pull the tire and inner fender you might have a shot. The problem then is getting a good enough angle to drive a new one in.
