oil dip stick

Is there anybody else out there having problems filling the 3,0 with synthetic oil? When I put in 6.5 quarts and the filter, it reads low on the stick. So I start it and run it for a few minutes, shut it down, give it a minute to let the oil drain back, then I check it and it won't even show on the stick. After like five to seven minutes It will come up to being on the stick but at the bottom of the cross hatching. So I add just under another quart and it flows up to the top of the cross hatching on the indicator pellet. I'm worried I'm running too much oil. Any input out there that compares? I also find the synthetic oil takes forever to flow down into the pan compared to the mineral oil. It must have a lot more stiction, lol.

If you put 6.5 quarts in then you are fine, as per the FSM you must wait 15mins to check oil level after running.

Thanks ford390gashog, I didn't read that. I will check after 15 minutes.
