Hello new to the forum I have an 04 E150 conversion van with a 5.4 it just quit at a station on a trip a few weeks ago finally got a chance to work on the fuel pump wasn't kicking on so we replaced that still no pump replaced the fpdm as well and the inertia switch have power to the pump but pump still will not kick unless I put power directly to it what am I missing have checked all fuses relays I am lost thanks in advance for any help
Since this is the introduction section, you are not likely to get many helpful responses here. Click on the "Forums" tab at the top left of your screen. In the scroll, you'll see areas for electrical issues, under Misc, as well as an area for for your van. Ask your questions in those areas and you should receive a lot of very specific help.

Have you checked the fuel pump relay and fuse in the Central Junction Box? A page from the EVTM for your year chassis would be quite helpful in diagnosing this problem.
Years ago my son had a similar problem thinking it was the fuel pump. He needed a truck for his job so he just bought another truck. After a year sitting, I had it towed to my house but before dropping the tank, I decided to replace the relay and Wa-La, the truck started right up. Just supporting JWA's suggestion.
These sorts of needless repairs can often be avoided IF the proper diagnostic procedures are performed BEFORE expensive parts are purchased and installed without knowing whether they've really failed or not. Sadly simply things like associated relays, fuses, connectors or wiring issues are the cause of many electrical issues.
IMHO too many "newbies" wade in without knowing what they're doing, spend money unnecessarily and only after exhausting their patience and/or bank account seek help. I get having a sense of independence and making an attempt to repair something but there should come a time knowing when and where to seek help is very valuable.
I've long time advocated to anyone DIY-ing a vehicle especially a Ford obtain an EVTM or wiring diagrams book, learn how to use it and employ it when something like fuel supplies issues arise. Sadly that's advice rarely heeded. 2004 E-Series EVTM That one is very fairly priced, well less than most parts already replaced I'm sure----grab it or not.

If you decide on buying the wiring diagram book, I suggest looking for a set of the entire Ford van shop manuals. I own a set of 1998 & 2004. My van is 2003. Hunt around e-Bay for a complete set at a good price. I paid about $80 for each set.

Good advice but I'd offer it's almost imperative obtaining the correct year manuals for your vehicles. In more than a few instances I've found one year either way often makes a difference especially electrically. I'm a bit **** and like having these match my years.

I agree. I don't do as much electrical work as JWA. The 2004 manual is sufficient for my 2003.
