This makes me ill
There is a post in the 60 truck area where a member was in a parking lot in a driving lane when a car was cutting across all of the parking spots and did not see him.
He had to towed to the tow co.lot, first wrong thing to do, have it towed to your house or who may be doing the work but even then could be an issue.
I say house because you will not be charged storage per day and even more if it is inside storage. This adds to the total bill and can total a car or truck.
His Ins, co. was dragging their feet till he told them he uses the truck for DD. I think he cut the check to have it towed to a shop that was going to do the work.
I did not know what he has for Ins. but it was not totaled, he was lucky.
I also think it looks worst than it is as it looked like it got hit high and if the frame is "tweaked" its not much and a good frame guy would have it back in shape in no time, old body man here also.
FYI this can happen less than 200 yards from my house.
I saw a SUV crossing the line heading to me and to get away from him I had to drive on the grass on my side of the road, no curbs but have drain ditches.
He crossed all the way over behind me, across a drive into the air and took out that mail box, down the ditch a bit then out into the road and back to my side and sideways in the next drive.
I did a turn around on the wrong side of street to go check on the person, only 1 only out of 5 or 6 cars went to check.
Turned out the person was eating and choked on the food and could not breath and the bouncing / jump in the air got it free.
Also lucky he had a 4 yo in a car seat in back all were ok other than the mail box & post and some bangs on the SUV.
My 81 F100, 4 year frame off rebuild, is insured for $12,000 but can up it at any time and it is pretty cheap per year.
Be safe out there
