DEF system

I recently had the 18M01 recall done on my 2011. Does anyone know if it is common to put a new def pump in after this recall? Second question is now that the recall is done will I get the low def mileage warnings back in the center information screen? 800 mi, 400mi to empty and so on I was only getting a CEL when the def got low before the recall work was done. Thank You.

The DEF pump possibly can be replaced. It has to be removed to change the tank heater.

What dash/instrument cluster do you have? Does it have the center display screen or single line display?

Properly working, the two line display on a 2011 will begin the notifications at 800 MTE and then every time at startup. If yours doesn't after repair, something else is wrong.

I have the center display screen. It used to give me the miles to empty periodically for the def just wondering if it will work again after the reacall?

it should work as originally from the factory. The tech will be in the pcm for the procedure if you are having it done.

The 800 MTE on mine was not affected by the DEF heater failure, I drove with the problem I think two months. Mention this issue to the SM so they can investigate.
