microsoft sync is getting worse
have to scream into that system louder and louder as time goes on its only 6 months old really awful for bluetooth usb and to dial phone book when i first got the truck it worked much better any ideas

Mine has the mic in the headliner, so do I need this update to mine? It is a week old tomorrow, and I couldn't get it to hear me give it a voice command today. Seems like it doesn't work as well. I do not have a NAV system, just Sync.
I really want this feature to work as I cover 3 States, and I am on the phone a lot.

Well I took mine in to get the TSB done and I have been told that Ford is not doing the mic replacement any longer while they research a new way to get things done better.
In other words the TSB is no longer any good it has been superseded.

I have a Palm Treo and the BT/microphone (phone) sucks. I'm getting an HTC Touch Pro2 on Friday and I'm hoping it works better. We'll see.
And yes, I did have the mirror mic replaced (via the TSB).

The services and GPS directions/weather options are working well, but the voice command leaves something to be desired. It doesnt seem to understand the most simple names in my phone book, and like the above poster said I have to scream at it to hear me. I cant even use the thing if my windows are open because it wont pick my voice up at all.
And the volume is so quite I can barely hear it when I use any of its features, phone, services, etc. Is there any way to adjust it?
