Here is my old thread on a different truck. It’s not the same as yours but some stuff should apply.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...cuum-help.html

If you have any questions about what I did then feel free to message me here or on Instagram (wojo_trucks, we follow eachother).

EDIT: with those two vacuum switches (on thermostat housing and intake manifold), you only have two ports. So instead of one output that switches inputs, yours is pretty much an on-off switch. When something (coolant temp or air temp or something) reaches a certain point, it allows vacuum to travel from input to output. So I imagine one only allows the EGR to work at operating temp, and I’m not certain on the other.

Thank You!
I´ve read your topic and studied my literature (workshop manual, parts catalogue unfortunately i have no wiring & vacuum diagrams) and things get clearer to me:

The ported switch on the manifold with two connectors (D3TZ-9D473-A) seems to "switch" the vacuum for the EGR valve, while the one on the Thermostats housing (D3TZ-12A091-A) with three connectors switches Manifold vacuum or ported Carb vacuum to the distributor advance depending on the coolants temperature.

Please corrrect me i i´m wrong!!!

where does the charcoal canister connect? mine is capped off
Another issue is the single line going to the transmission: is it originally fastened to something? Mine is just clamped to the power brakes vacuum line and wobbles on the firewall...

I will order some feet of new vacuum line and try my best to get it working...

That sounds correct to me. I’m not sure on the charcoal canister connection. I imagine it would go up to the air cleaner to burn off any vapors that would be left (for emissions reasons). And I believe the transmission vacuum line just free floats, I don’t think there was anything more than the clip you were talking about. All of my trucks have just had it hanging on its own.
