I'm trying to find a higher gear ratio for my high pinion d44 it's a 78 f150 I see highest commonly offered is 3.54 but for my application I need to go higher. if I could get close to 3.00 it be perfect dose any one offer a gear ratio this high. could I have a ring and pinion custom made if no one offers what I need. I see up until 77 there was an option for 3.07 but there standard cut the gears in mine are reverse cut could they be interchanged? Thanks.
I have a 79 HPD44 with 3.00's in it but the PO put em' in so I don't know who made them. I'm changing them out for 4.11's which I have just done to the rear 9 inch just recently. I don't need the 4x4 so I wasn't in a hurry to have the front done for a few months. If you are not in a hurry and you can't find what you need, perhaps I can help. I'll have both sets available awfully cheap. Nothing wrong with them I just needed lower gearing as I have a 6R80 and 6th gear with 3.00:1 was way too tall
Thank you yes it is I was on there site a couple times and never got that to pop up. I was worried I was going to have to get 38inch tires to make up for gearing.

I'm not in to much of a hurry it will be a while before I need them when you pull them out if you don't want them I'd probably take them they would go perfect with the 3.00 I plan on doing in the back.
